Tuya WiFi Smart Single Phase Bi-directional Digital Energy Meter

Scope of application

This single phase digital kWh meter is intended for energy sub-metering in apartments, shops, offices and small workshops, and for circuits where energy may flow in either direction, such as rooftop photovoltaic systems and battery storage. It fits a standard 35mm DIN rail enclosure and is wired in series with the circuit to be measured, so it can be installed in new distribution boards or retrofitted into existing ones.

Features

Energy is measured bi-directionally, so imported and exported energy are recorded separately rather than netted, which is required for self-consumption monitoring and for accurate billing on prosumer circuits. The liquid crystal display alternates between accumulated kWh and instantaneous current in amperes, and the front panel carries a single SET key for display and parameter adjustment.

The meter is certified to IEC62053-21 and IEC62052-11 with Class 1.0 accuracy and a pulse constant of 1600imp/kWh. WiFi and Bluetooth Low Energy are both provided: Bluetooth is used for initial pairing and local configuration, WiFi for cloud connectivity. Through the Tuya / Smart Life app the user can read consumption in real time, review historical daily and monthly curves, set overload thresholds and switch the circuit remotely. Terminal numbering L/N in at 1 and 2 and L/N out at 3 and 4 is moulded into the housing to reduce wiring errors during installation.
